This is indeed Good News or a good message for me, for you, and for every person now alive or who has ever lived, or shall ever live, because we all sin. The only person who ever lived without sin is Jesus, our Christ (saviour). He was guilty of no sin at all and took all of our sins upon himself to the cross at Calvary and shed His Precious blood to pay the penalty for the sins of all mankind. “knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19 NKJV)
You may say “I’m a good person, I don’t believe I sin”. The Words of God refute that, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23 NKJV). The problem with thinking like that is that in the eyes of God, you must first admit that there is a problem with your thinking and with the way you live your life. God has also told us in His Word- “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9 NKJV) Perhaps it is time to re-evaluate your thinking and beliefs about sin. Perhaps you don’t really understand how God has defined sin in His Word, the Bible. According to Strong’s Concordance, in the Bible there are two most used definitions of sin. One is to miss a mark (or target, as in archery), usually referring to falling short of a target. The other most used definition is to trespass or to cross over a line, regarding the Law of God. A trespass is simply a crime in the eyes of God, a breaking of one of His commandments.
The bad news for all of us is that we all at times have fallen short of, or will, and do either fall short of the target or we trespass over a line in regard to the perfect standards of God. We do this in our relationship to Him or in our relationships with others, and in our own efforts to satisfy our selves. The Bible tells us about our selves and how God sees us in our sin. Basically it is impossible for us to live according to God’s Perfect standards:
“As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; (Romans 3:10 NKJV)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23 NKJV).
“For the wages of sin is death,” (Romans 6:23a)
This is why the Gospel- “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” is such good news for us all.
But from the Bible, there is more good news:
“but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b)
Also, God has promised- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:8-9 NKJV) and, “For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NKJV) Romans 10:13 NKJV)
Now that you have read what God’s Word says about our sin, you have a choice to make regarding your beliefs about you and sin. Yes, in the eyes of God you do have a choice to either choose to accept His free gift of eternal life with Him or to reject that free gift and eventually die in your sin and be dead for all eternity. That choice is a personal decision that everyone must make eventually.
God wants to hear from you what your choice is. He wants you to confess (profess) that Jesus is the only One perfect, the only one good enough (SEE THIS VIDEO) to pay your sin debt and that you believe Jesus died on the cross for you. God wants you to make it personal. When you feel that nudging at your heart it is because the Holy Spirit is calling you to believe. You believe in your heart and you say it out loud so that everyone else around you can rejoice in your decision to accept Jesus as your Savior. It may seem like a difficult choice to make, but God also promises you- “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)
Friend, if you have not yet made a decision to accept Christ as your Lord and savior, I urge you to accept Him today. If you do, you’ll be eternally glad that you found the Greatest Love Worth Finding! THE LOVE OF GOD IS AWESOME!!!
Salvation is God’s gift to you as He tells us in Romans 6:23. When someone offers you a priceless gift, the wisest thing you can do is to accept it! This very moment, you can receive Christ’s gift of salvation by sincerely praying from your heart, this simple prayer, or one similar to it:
Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You love me and want to save me. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I now turn from my sin and, by faith, receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and save me, Lord Jesus. In Your name I pray, Amen.

If you just sincerely prayed that prayer, you are now a part of the Family of God. Find yourself a Bible preaching and believing church where you can spend time with more experienced Christians, and learn and hear the Word of God as presented by the Holy Spirit that is now within you. Now that God is your Father, you need to talk to Him each day as you pray to Him, and listen to Him as He speaks to your heart as you read, study, and meditate on what you read in your Bible every day. If you don’t have a Bible you can visit BlueLetterBible.org, and choose the version of your choice. Ask and rely on the Holy Spirit to open your mind to understand what you read. I highly recommend the King James version as it is the most accurate translation available from the original Greek text. If you find that version difficult to read, try the New King James version which is the second most reliable translation, and easier to read. I discourage using most other translations.
