And we have known and believed the love
that God has for us. God is love, and he who
abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

----1John 4:16 (New King James Version)

God's Plan For You - Step 4

You Are Changed

As you take those first steps toward God, you leave behind a life destined to eternal separation from God (eternal death) and approach Eternal Life with Him.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)As long as Jesus is still inviting, a sinner can enter the Kingdom of God by making a decision for Christ by opening the door to their heart. The knock at your door may not continue forever.

'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) If you declare that Jesus is Lord and believe with your heart that He was resurrected from the dead, you will be saved.

For "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9) If you call upon Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have salvation and will be spared from the penalty of sin. (Confession of sin is not "once for all" but a continuous process. We are once for all declared righteous when we receive Jesus, but our sin breaks fellowship daily and must be confessed
each time we realize we have sinned.)

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." (Acts 3:19) Repent means to turn away from sin. Being converted is to redirect your steps according to God's will. When you repent and are converted in the name of Jesus and in the spirit of our God, He forgives your sins and no longer remembers them. Then, rejoice in knowing that you will be with Him forever.
